Meet Dr. Morgan Phillips, DMD

Dr. Morgan Phillips joined Uptown Charlotte Smiles in March 2018. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry before becoming a member of the inaugural class at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina.

During her time at ECU, Dr. Phillips demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to the dental profession. She co-founded the Oral Medicine Interest Group, the DMD Student Organization, and the American Association of Women Dentists Student Chapter while serving as Student Co-Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee. She also participated in extensive research assessing oral health literacy in eastern North Carolina and mentored fellow dental students as a pre-clinical laboratory tutor.

Following dental school, Dr. Phillips completed a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina. During her residency, she received advanced training across all dental specialties, further expanding her clinical expertise and commitment to comprehensive patient care.

A North Carolina native, Dr. Phillips was born and raised in the state and now resides in Charlotte’s Dilworth neighborhood. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially around the water. Whether hiking to waterfalls, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying water sports on the lake, she embraces every opportunity to explore the outdoors. She also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dr. Phillips is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the North Carolina Dental Society. She is passionate about incorporating the latest dental technologies and evidence-based treatment into her practice. With her eye for aesthetics and gentle, compassionate approach, Dr. Phillips is dedicated to providing every patient with exceptional care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
